and im still alive!

wah la!
and i am still alive! lol miracles do occur. anyway, it is freakin 3.01 in the morning.
and here i am, trying not to fall asleep. dont ask why, it's a tat too complicated to explain

ANYWAY, great news
We finally MOVED!
i now reside at Hougang st. 91, very very close to many of my loved ones -
malini and family, mei mei, vidya(one neighbourhood closer than before la..)

the house is great, a lot more spacious than the chicken coop of a house i used to live in.
but of course great memories i bring with me over to this new place.
the walls are lovely - only cos i painted them, with the help of a beloved friend.
THREE FREAKIN NIGHTS, to paint the whole house.
was a bit tedious cos the creative ideas we had - feature walls, lines, yada yada yada.
only difficult thing is that we have to live with limited furniture as its all only coming on the 23rd of decemeber which wld be just in time for the great x'mas gathering im tryinna plan!
im actually thinking of cooking for all of them - mass murder right, i know.
hope my sister can bail me outta that one - except she doesnt do criminal law. lol

so besides that holidays have been great.
bintan has been postponed to next hols. sigheth. only major disappoinment thus far la
besides that oh yes the BONUS! god bless MOE.
i mean its not THAT great, but it pleases me. lol i dont feel so poor no more! lol

hmmm besides that? oh yes, im apparently still tryinna work on my fitness.
i should la. feel so old when im only 20 years old.
Trying real hard to avoid falling victim to the indian-woman-syndrome! :S

i think that sort of sums it up. shall post new photos of the new place!!
of my BOOOTIFUL paint work. lol
till then,

out!

Facebook

wahla! I made it back in about a month. lol
Anyway, I is going to dedicate this post to Facebook.

Quite recently, maybe more than recently, a friend mentioned that Facebook runs my life.
Only because, I told him that while studying I would switch to using
Facebook to take breaks.
As the conversation went on I confessed that these breaks occurred about
after every 20 mins of studying. As I was saying it, I realised that eh, thats not called
taking breaks. lol

And so the conversation turned into an arguement as soon as my friend mentioned
that Facebook if absolutely NO USE to anyone.
I KNOW!! You can simply imagine how furious I BECAME!! lol

Then the conversation got very heated and im not going to indulge in the details of it. lol

So after that I started observing the amount of activity going on on Facebook.
And I realised that it does run everybody's life.
Well, atleast the lives of people on my Facebook.

Every second there's a new update on the home page.
Someone does some quiz, someone finds out
how good they are in bed *i love how almost EVERYONE who does that one likes to publish
it.heh.*
someone finds out how old they are suppose to be or when they are supposed to die.
*When i did that one, it said i'll self-fucking-combust. WTH RIGHT? lol*

So yeah, currently its the quiz-mania that seems to have caught on to people on facebook.
Now people have started doing quizzes to gauge how well they know their friends. lol

And what astonished me was that even during exams all of us were so badly hooked onto facebook.

And atleast half the people on my facebook had statuses mentioning how badly hooked they were and how they had to get off facebook and start studying.

Previously friendster, now facebook. I wonder what is coming our way next. I heard something about twitter except I dont fully know what that is about.

As much as all of this appalls me when I sit back and think about it,
I am not going to deny and lie that Facebook has got no grip on me.
Every single day I'm on facebook. It's the first thing I check when I go online.
Not even NIE's Teacher's Portal.
*though that is the set home-page on all our laptops. lol*

Not just that, it has also helped many of us get in touch with old friends. So many of them
I swear and facebook deserves the credit for that.
And yes of course it has helped some people make new friends.
So no doubt about it being a platform for people to expand their social circles
and develop their networks.

Yet, it is fascinating to realise how much of our lives we've dedicated to the internet and all that jazz it offers.

What do you think about it? If you happen to read this, please feel free to share.

Now I better be getting back to Facebook. Need to set a higher score at Bejeweled Blitz. LOL

Night folks,
Out!

what's on your mind?

And yet again it has been eons..
atleast the blog still exists. I've been thinking alot today. And i feel like putting my thoughts down in words regardless of the fact that no one may actually be reading it. LOL

I was thinking about how easy it is for people to forget the favours they receive from another.
How easy it is for man to get so caught up with daily life that he forgets the simple things that people do for him. Worst still, sometimes we even forget to thank people for these favours.

Thank you.
Two words that go a long long way.

I have alot of people to thank for all that I have with me now. The friend who literally picked me up from the dumps and made sure I do what I deserve and still accompanies me like a shadow to make sure I pick the right path. The friends who always watch my back and cook for me all the time. The friends who tell me what's going on at school when I fail to wake up in the morning for lessons. And the people, who never fail to remind me that I am not alone.

Do you thank the people around you when you should?
But then again, it wont be totally unjustified to say that it is human nature to take things for granted even without realising that we do it. However, when we realise the need to thank someone, it might be a bit too late by then to do so.

We also should not expect people to constantly express their gratitude for the favours we do them. We should not do favours expecting something in return. Nevertheless, the appreciation we receive does add more meaning to what we do for others and motivates us to give more in other ways as well.

I have no idea why I am thinking about this today but, i just felt like sharing it with anyone who might be reading this.

Good day folks!
out!
